British DBA League to be launched at PAWS Winter DBA

Posted by portsmouthwargames on November 27, 2010

At this year’s English DBA Open, SOA president Phil Steele proposed the setting up of a DBA league, to encourage more DBA tournaments.

This British DBA League is going ahead, and the first participating tournament of the 2010-2011 season will be the PAWS Winter DBA in Portsmouth next Saturday (4th December).

The exact format and scoring is being finalised, but what is certain is that a player’s final score will be based on his best five scores from the year from now until next year’s English DBA Open.

We hope all open-entry DBA tournaments in Great Britain will participate (and some new ones will take place to be included). We also hope that the SOA will be the sponsoring organisation.
